GLP wins Henry Hampton Award!

The Grace Lee Project was one of four films awarded the Henry Hampton Award for Excellence in Film and Digital Media at the Council of Foundations Annual Awards Ceremony in Seattle on April 29, 2007.

The Henry Hampton Awards recognize the special projects that honor the spirit of Henry Hampton -- one of the 20th century's most influential documentary filmmakers. His work chronicled America's great political and social movemetns and set new standards for broadcast quality. The independent filmmaker gave us such landmark works as EYES ON THE PRIZE, THE GREAT DEPRESSION, MALCOLM X: MAKE IT PLAIN, and AMERICA'S WAR ON POVERTY. The other awardees included 2007 Academy Award nominee MY COUNTRY MY COUNTRY, Emmy nominee OMAR AND PETE, WAGING A LIVING, and KIDS CARE.
